Each Flickering Fortunes candle is hand-poured in small batches, which means it deserves a little extra love when you light it. A quick guide so your candle stays as magical on its last burn as on its first.
Never leave a burning candle unattended
Always stay in the room and extinguish before you leave or sleep.
Burn on a heat-safe surface
Use a sturdy, heat-resistant plate, tray, or candle holder. Away from anything flammable.
Keep away from kids, pets, curtains & drafts
Give your flame at least 12 inches of clear space on every side.
Trim the wick before each burn
Keep it around 1/4 inch (about 6mm) to prevent sooting and uneven burning.
Handmade candle notes
- • Decorative sculptural candles may drip, melt, or burn unevenly depending on shape and color — that's part of how they're built.
- • Some candles are best enjoyed as decor or ritual pieces and may not be intended for full burning. If you're unsure, reach out before you light it.
- • Colors and small sculpted details may vary slightly between candles. Each one is poured by hand, so no two are identical — that's the magic.
- • Hand-poured pure beeswax, locally sourced from Western New York beekeepers and personally rendered 3–4 times. Available scented or unscented. Custom scent and color options available on request.
